Law School Professors React to Fisher v. Texas II

Savannah Law School Professors Vinay Harpalani and Shakira Pleasant recently got a lot of attention for their expertise in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Fisher v. Texas II on June 23. The Supreme Court’s ruling just recently promoted the University of Texas at Austin’s race-conscious admissions policies.

Professors Harpalani and Pleasant filed an amicus brief supporting the University in the case. Following the choice, Professor Harpalani did a number of interviews and was estimated in American Prospect, Business Insider, University Herald, the Yale Daily News, and a number of other news sources.

His article on the Fisher II judgment was also cross-posted on the blog sites of the American Constitution Society, Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States, the Society for American Law Teachers, and the Education Law, Higher Education Law, and Race and the Law prawfsblogs.

Article continues on the Savannah Law School website.
